Sunghee Lee, PhD, is the technical survey manager and survey methodologist for the California Health Interview Survey (CHIS). She is also an adjunct assistant professor for the UCLA Department of Biostatistics. Lee is responsible for managing statistical and technical aspects of the CHIS data collection and supervising methodological research projects.

Lee worked as a research survey methodologist at the RTI, International. She produced a technical report on the National Survey of Child and Adolescent Well-being (NSCAW). She also provided statistical technical consultancy to the NSCAW research team and methodological advice on questionnaire development and Web survey usability testing. Lee worked on a number of methodological studies on disability measurement in surveys, statistical adjustments for Web survey data, and Web survey feasibility and design, and research projects assessing the impact of Internet and cellular phone usage on surveys while she was at the Joint Program in Survey Methodology (JPSM). She has expertise in survey statistics, survey instrument design, and survey data quality improvement.

Lee received a PhD in Survey Methodology from the JPSM at the University of Maryland, a MS in Survey Research and Methodology from University of Nebraska and a BS in Statistics from Duksung Women's University in Korea. She is fluent in English, Korean and Chinese.
