Hoi-Yan Yiu, MS
Research Associate, California Health Interview Survey

Hoi-Yan Yiu is a research associate for the California Health Interview Survey (CHIS). She supports the administrative and research functions of CHIS and AskCHIS.

Prior to the Center, Yiu worked as a project coordinator for the Cancer Prevention Workshop at the University of California, San Francisco. At UCSF, she also conducted research in the Family Health Outcomes Project as a statistician. Her experience includes data process, data mining, statistical analysis, generating reports, and presentation materials.

Yiu's research interests include cancer and community health. She received her undergraduate degree in molecular and cell biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and her master's degree in epidemiology from Stanford University. As for her pastimes, Yiu enjoys playing with her daughter and cooking Chinese dishes for her family.
