Xinyu Zhang, PhD, is a survey methodology and data quality manager/survey researcher at the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research. Zhang provides support in survey methodology for the California Health Interview Survey.

Prior to joining the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research, Zhang was a research assistant at the University of Michigan. His research focused on two aspects of responsive survey design in survey data collection: developing decision rules and  improving predictions of survey cost and survey error. He developed several advanced methods for optimizing survey design and management.

Zhang earned his doctoral degree in survey and data science from the University of Michigan. He also received his master’s degree in survey methodology at the University of Michigan.
