Center statisticians, under the director of Hongjian Yu, PhD, Associate Director of Statistical Support, provide statistical support and programming services as a core Center activity and as needed on individual projects. The Center specializes in analysis of complex survey data, hierarchical data analysis, small area estimation, and multiple imputation techniques, among other types of statistical analysis.
The Center's Statistical Support and Programming team manages various databases for the research staff and UCLA faculty associated with the Center. These databases include the Current Population Survey (CPS), National Health Interview Survey (NHIS), Medicare Current Beneficiary Survey (NCBS) and the California Health Interview Surveys. Center statisticians and programmers provide statistical consulting to researchers across the UCLA campus.
