The AskCHIS Community Workshop is a one-day, hands-on training workshop on how to access data from the California Health Interview Survey (CHIS) via the Internet. Workshops are conducted in local computer and technology centers. Participants learn how to access and apply CHIS data to their work. At the end of the workshop, participants are able to determine the appropriate uses and limitations of data; identify and define relevant and appropriate data needed for program development and policy advocacy; collect, summarize, and interpret data from CHIS and effectively present their CHIS data findings to professional and lay audiences.
The AskCHIS Community Workshop was developed by grant from The California Endowment.
