NHPI Data Policy Lab

The Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (NHPI) Data Policy Lab addresses striking gaps within data and research for the Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities.

Older Adult Mental Health Project

The California Mental Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission (MHSOAC) contracted with the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research to assess the state's progress in setting up a system of care for this vulnerable population.

Oral Health

UCLA CHPR regularly conducts research on oral health, with various publications on barriers to accessing dental care for low-income Californians.
Chronic Disease Program

Overweight and Obesity

UCLA CHPR researchers have tracked changes in overweight and obesity among Californians and have analyzed the disparate factors that contribute to overweight and obesity for nearly 30 years.

Philippine-California Advanced Research Institutes (PCARI)

UCLA CHPR researchers have been working with a team at the University of the Philippines, Manila to develop a population health survey program as part of the Philippine-California Advanced Research Institutes (PCARI) program.

UCLA CHPR researchers conducted an evaluation of California’s Public Hospital Redesign and Incentives in Medi-Cal (PRIME) Program, created to improve care delivery in California public hospitals.

The California Health Interview Survey’s Public Use Files (PUFs) are comprehensive CHIS data files that enable researchers to conduct in-depth research. 

RCMAR National Coordinating Center

Housed at UCLA CHPR, the RCMAR National Coordinating Center is committed to increasing the diversity of the aging research workforce and serving as a resource for RCMAR center leaders, scientists and staff.
Health Equity Program

RIGHTS Study

The RIGHTS (Research on ImmiGrant HealTh and State policy) study aims to understand the experiences of Californians who were born in Asia or Latin America as they seek health care, go to work and school, and engage in their communities.
